BROWSE THE RECORD

1win

A sceptical reader's file on 1win for India: what the licence registry, the Online Gaming Act and independent reviews actually record.

SIGN-UP SAFETY

Is it safe to register on 1win?

Creating an account means giving a company your details, and later your identity papers. This page lists what to check first, what the record shows about identity checks and why the legal question comes before any form.

  • Data you share
  • Identity checks
  • Licence status
  • Legal first
BEFORE ANY FORM

Four questions to answer first

A registration form is the last step, not the first. If you cannot answer these four questions, close the page.

  • Who is the company?

The registry names 1Win N.V., company number 147039, as licensee. Check that the site you are on belongs to it.

  • What is its status?

Assessment in progress, with an expiry date of 6 March 2026. We do not call it valid or expired.

  • Is it lawful for you?

The Online Gaming Act bans online money games and has applied since 1 May 2026.

  • Can you afford the risk?

Only money you could lose without harm belongs anywhere near a gambling site.

YOUR DATA

What registering puts at stake

Personal details are hard to take back. Consider what you give before you give it.

  • Contact details

A phone number and email can be used for marketing or sold. Use ones you can afford to change if needed.

  • Identity documents

Goal.com India says 1win requires KYC. That means copies of personal papers sitting with a company whose licence status is unresolved.

IDENTITY CHECKS

What KYC means for a new member

ToffeeWeb says an identity document is typically requested before a first withdrawal is paid. Which documents are accepted differs across sources.

  • Expect to be asked

Plan for identity verification, because reviewers say it is required.

  • Do it on the right site

Upload documents only to an address you have verified as the operator's.

  • Keep copies

Keep a note of what you sent and when, so you can show it if there is a dispute.

  • Think twice about speed

Advice to verify early is about payout delays, not a reason to rush a decision to join.

RED FLAGS

Reasons to stop before registering

Any one of these is enough of a reason to walk away before registering anywhere.

  • A stranger recommended it

Tips from unknown people are a common lure, and promotion of such games is itself restricted by the Act.

  • You were told it is surely legal

Nobody can promise that for you. We do not say it either.

  • You cannot trace the owner

If the site's owner and address cannot be matched to the licence record, treat it as unverified.

  • You are under pressure

Urgency has no place in a careful decision.

ASKING FIRST

Questions you can put to the operator

Anything unclear can be asked before you commit. Keep the answers in writing.

  • Live chat

Casino.guru reports 24/7 live chat in several languages, including English and Hindi.

  • Email

Email lets you save the answer, which helps if the terms later differ.

  • A lawyer

For a legal view on your own position, ask a qualified adviser rather than the operator.

ADULTS ONLY

Age and responsible gambling

Gambling is for adults. We could not read the operator's own minimum age, so we cannot state it.

  • Not for minors

Never register for someone under age or let a child use your account.

  • Set a limit first

Decide a loss limit before an account exists, and do not raise it after losing.

  • Tools unverified

Sources disagree on whether limit tools exist, so do not rely on them.

  • Get support early

If gambling is hurting you or your family, speak to a trusted person or a counselling service.
